Old
Church
The construction of this church began in 1850 and its stones were bought by Sheikh Abbas El Khazen. It is reported that the citizens have sought refuge in the church during the Ottoman persecution, and when the Turkish army came near the church a large fog surrounded it and the army passed by without seeing it.
New Church
In 1966, a new "Our Lady of Assistance" was built, distinguished by its modern architecture.
