Goldsmiths were important in the Souk. A book dating back to 1902 reveals that the inhabitants of Zouk were attracted to the goldsmiths' craft and it was the Kattan family that was famous for mastering this craft.

They produced several forms and styles of bracelets, as well as church utensils such as candelabras, censers, relic holders, scepters or crosiers for archbishops and patriarchs, etc.
